For those of you interested in Actuarial Studies...

they are some of the professional actuarial organisations(well i'm not sure whether there are more>.<...), kind of like the societies of actuaries for the country.

and for those considering to take that course in Australia... this handbook should give you some information about actuary and the parts you have to go through(erm... you can get it from the IAA website too actually hehe...)

and when you're choosing the universities and course... remember to check the exemptions(for the courses in the societies) that the course(uni) offers.
As for Macquarie University, my friend told me that you'll get Part I (CT1-CT8) and Part II exempted for the IAA.
